The wonderful thing about this whole wheat pizza dough is that it’s quicker
to make than the regular dough. And that’s because it only requires one rising
instead of two. You can use this as a pizza crust whether you intend to cook .

Preparation Time: 2 hours

Ingredients:

• 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
• ¾ cup lukewarm water
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon sugar
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1 cup whole-wheat flour
• 2 tablespoons yellow cornmeal
• 1 teaspoon olive oil
• 2 tablespoons lukewarm water

Instructions:

1. Combine the yeast, lukewarm water, salt and sugar in a bowl.
2. Mix until the yeast has been dissolved.
3. Add the flours and cornmeal.
4. Mix until fully combined.
5. Knead the dough for 10 minutes or until elastic.
6. Drizzle your bowl with a little olive oil.
7. Press the dough into this bowl.
8. Cover the bowl with kitchen towel.
9. Place it in a warm place and let sit for 1 hour.
10. Knead and divide the dough into 4.
11. Brush with the oil.
12. Place in a baking pan.
13. Let sit for another 1 hour.
14. Roll out dough into an 8-inch or 10-inch pizza crust.
15. Bake the dough in the oven at 350 degrees F for 5 minutes.
