Making pizza sauce from scratch is not as difficult as you think. Yes, you’re
going to need many ingredients, but preparing the sauce is quite easy.

Preparation Cooking Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 6 oz. lukewarm water
  • 6 oz. canned tomato paste
  • ¾ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon anchovy paste
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ¼ teaspoon dried basil
  • ¼ teaspoon dried marjoram
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Mix all the ingredients together
2. Let sit for 30 minutes before spreading on pizza dough.
3. Top with desired toppings.

Olive oil is added to the pizza sauce to preserve the flavors, so it’s just as
tasty even if you use it in the next few days.

Preparation Cooking Time: 50 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 28 oz. canned diced tomatoes
  • 28 oz. canned tomato puree
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions:

1. Add all the ingredients except the olive oil to a pan over low heat.
2. Mix well.
3. Simmer for 30 minutes.
4. Pour in the olive oil.
5. Simmer for 2 minutes.
